Shifters are anthropomorphic creatures that at appear as humanoid animals. They are a race tied together by their ability to Shift; all shifters are to unleash a primal power within linking them closer to their ancestors. Some become more beastly and ferocious, while others invoke an elegance or skill passed down through their ancestral lines. Unless otherwise noted, all Shifters have the following racial traits.

Size. Shifters are about the same size as humans. Your size is Medium.
Age. Intermediate.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Dark Vision. Your heritage grants you the ability to see in dark conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Languages. You speak, read, and write Common and Sylvan.
Shift. As a bonus action on your turn you may shift. Shifting lasts for 1 minute or until you end it on your turn as a bonus action. While shifting, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level + your Constitution score (minimum of 1). In addition, you gain a distinct feature related to your Shifter subrace. You must finish a short or long rest before you may shift again.

Subraces. The Shifter is divided into six unique subraces; the Bujou with the Beasthide feature, the Hanubians with the Cliffwalk feature, the Uman with the Longstride feature, the Gainu with the Longtooth feature, the Toran with the Razorclaw feature, and the Ganxi with the Wildhunt feature.

Bujou
The Bujou are descendents from the Boar Zodiac Soul, Bijou. They appear to be mostly human like, but tend to be quite heavy looking despite being quite nimble. Their upturned snouts distinguish them from humans however, as well as some having protruding tusks. Most in the cities tend to file their tusks down, but those in the wilderness prefer to have them quite long and consider their tusks a source of pride.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1, and your Constitution score increases by 2.
Region. Planes, Ambrolia
Beasthide Shift. When Shifting you gain +2 to your AC.

Hanubian
The Hanubians are descendents from the Monkey Zodiac Soul, Hanuman. They appear to be ape-like, but are leaner and incredibly agile. They tend to be quite hairy and have a prehensile tail distinguishing them from others. Their tails act as a second hand, as such, they often wear clothing that allows the tail freedom to move about.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1, and your Dexterity score increases by 2.
Region. Forest, Ambrolia
Natural Acrobat. You are proficient in Acrobatics.
Cliffwalk Shift. When shifting you gain a climb speed that equals your walking speed.

Uman
The Uman are the descendants of the Horse Zodiac Soul, Khan. Their heads, arms and chest are that of a human from the stories, but the rest of its body are that of a horse. Strong runners, their hooves are hard as most metals.
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.
Region. Plains, Ambrolia
Speed. Your base walking speed is 40ft.
Natural Archer. You are proficient with the Shortbow and Longbow.
Longstride Shift. While shifting you may take the Dash action as a bonus action.

Gainu
The Gainu are the descendants of the Dog Zodiac Soul, Gaius. They are canine humanoids with conspicuously protruding snouts and fangs. Their fur can be troublesome in the cities as can their tails that wag about when excited. Gainu are incredible hunters alone as well as in groups.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Region. Plains, Ambrolia
Longtooth Shift. While shifting you can make a bite attack as a bonus action. This is a melee weapon attack that uses Strength or Dexterity for its attack roll and damage bonus and deals 1d4 piercing damage. The damage dealt by this increases according to the Monk table.

Toran
The Toran are the descendants of the Tiger Zodiac Soul, Jiao. They appear simlar to the other feline races, with cat eyes, ears, and even claws similar to a Lynx’s. The Toran are quite muscular when compared to other felines, but retain the agility of their Tiger ancestry. A Toran could be spotted in the city as their fur has faint stripe pattern to it unlike other feline races.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1, and your Dexterity score increases by 2.
Region. Tropical, Nymphae Isles
Razorclaw Shift. While shifting you can make a claw attack as a bonus action. This is a melee weapon attack that uses Strength or Dexterity for its attack roll and damage bonus and deals 1d4 slashing damage. The damage dealt by this increases according to the Monk table.

Ganxi
The Ganxi are the descendants of the great Elephant Ganisha that Nami pulled from the Soul Weave. It is believed that Ganisha was the basis for all other Shifter races; as Nami had created the Zodiac Souls using a similar thread to Ganisha’s. Most races are severely stunted when compared to the Ganxi as they tend to tower over them. In addition, their giant ears and tusks are quite intimidating and their snout can crush large objects. Despite their fearsome appearance, most Ganxi are quite calm and considerate.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Region. Tropical, Nymphae Isles
Powerful Build. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity, the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Wildhunt Shift. While shifting you have advantage on all Wisdom based checks and saving throws.
